The excellent pilot script integrated
the old and the new show brilliantly. The new Battlestar is supported
by
a strong and interesting cast led by actor James Almos as Commander
Adama.
A special tip of the New Eye Studio hat to actor James Callis who gives
a riveting tormented performance as Dr. Giaus Baltor. A man who has
unwittingly helped
a new generation of really dangerous Cylons. Tricia Helfer plays Cylon
Number 6, his sensual tormentor; a blond she devil of a new
series of human looking Cylons that has infiltrated into the
population. They will willingly make love to you or can break
your
neck. Two time Oscar nominated Mary McDonnell (Dances with Wolfs) plays
President Laura Roslin. Katee Sackhoff gives a kick ass performance as
Viper pilot Lt. Kara Thrace (Starbuck). The characters are presented
with
depth and range. This is no kiddy show. It is a new adult Battlestar
with balls.
Exceptionally well done special effects. Ron Moore who scripted the
pilot gets 4 gold stars for his toothbrush chart!
This Battlestar is a winner!
